Activitiy	Month	Goals
Drawing People	March	Students will draw people using shapes. Students will fill in their people shapes with color to make them solid.
Jackson Pollock	April	Students will learn about a famous American artist and his artwork. Students will be introduced to the term “primary colors”. Students will demonstrate color mixing using the primary colors.
Blotto Butterflies	May	Students will discuss the meaning of the word “symmetry”. Students will identify basic body parts of a butterfly. Students will create a mirror image of butterfly wings on paper using paint. Students will cut out butterfly wings. Students will add a body and details to their butterfly.
