Crystal Productions’ Featured Artist

Jim McNeill Artist/Animator/Illustrator Artist Jim McNeill is an animator and illustrator currently living in Arizona. He holds a BFA from the School of Visual Arts, New York City. McNeill is the animator/ illustrator for Crystals’ award winning Dropping In On... video/book series, which now includes Henri Rousseau, Pablo Picasso, Grant Wood, Andy Warhol (which won a Silver Remi at the 2007 Houston International Film Festival), Romare Bearden, Grandma Moses and the Impressionists.

Besides the Dropping In On... series, Jim has created a variety of other art resource materials for teachers. His artwork, Escher Bowl and Slam Dunk, are included in Crystal Productions’ Take-5 posters. Other resources created by McNeill include the award–winning how–to video, Tessellations: How to Create Them and the book, Tessellations: The History and Making of Symmetrical Designs. Jims’ artwork has been exhibited internationally in the Feria Internacional del Mueble de Valencia exposition in Valencia, Spain and in the Society of Illustrators 48th Annual Exhibition in New York City. He is also a freelance illustrator whose clients include Popular Science, Macy’s, Metro Creative Graphics, and Egghead Software.
