Pam Stephens Associate Professor of Art Education Pam Stephens has taught all grade levels from pre–kindergarten through graduate school. She currently teaches pre–service art education courses at Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff. Stephens is the author of the award–winning Dropping In On... series. Her other publications include Bridging The Curriculum Through Art (co–written with Nancy Walkup and now in its revised, second edition), Tessellations: The History and Making of Symmetrical Designs, and numerous other art teaching materials, articles, and manuscripts.

Among Stephens’ recent honors are 2008 Arizona Art Education Association Higher Education Award, the 2007 National Art Education Association Pacific Region Higher Education Award, and the 2006 National Art Education Association Student Sponsor Award of Excellence. Stephens maintains close ties with art specialists and classroom teachers through professional development programs in schools and presentations at state and national conferences. Along with artist Jim McNeill, Stephens provides keynote addresses as well as book signings and art workshops for children.
